摘 要:

I will consider a version of the Skyrme model where both the kinetic term and the Skyrme term are multiplied by field-dependent coupling functions. For suitable choices, this model has static solutions saturating the pertinent topological bound in the sector of baryon number B = 1 but not for higher |B|. This implies that higher charge field configurations are unbound, and loosely bound higher skyrmions (with arbitrary small binding energies) can be achieved by small deformations of this "dielectric" Skyrme model. I will also discuss a relation between binding energies, in-medium dependence of the coupling constants and the Rho-Brown scaling.

简 介:

Prof. Andrzej Wereszczynski is a Polish theoretical physicist who is interested in solitons and field theory. He obtained his Ph.D. from Jagiellonian University, Poland in 2002 and has since worked as a postdoc and an adjunct (assistant professor) at the Jagiellonian University and as a postdoc at the Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen, Denmark from 2008-2009. After the postdoc experience he returned to Jagiellonian University where he became a professor in 2017. Together with his collaborators Christoph Adam and Joachim Sanzhes-Guillen, he is known for the integrable BPS-Skyrme model which is a BPS limit of the model which is now known as the generalized Skyrme model. Their paper has been cited more than 145 times. He has published more than 85 papers in Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev. C, Phys. Rev. D, JHEP, Phys. Lett. B, J. Phys. A, J. Math Phys, etc.
